Frederick Marshall Moore - Tampa Spine Surgeon

A surgeon from Tampa, Florida, Frederick Marshall Moore, MD, has worked in medicine since 2001. Dr. Frederick Marshall Moore has been a spine surgeon with Spine and Orthopedic Specialists since 2022.

Dr. Moore’s career in medicine began with the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in 2001, where he was the medical department head. In 2013, he served as an orthopedic surgeon for the Coalition Forces and Afghan locals at Tarin Kowt, AFG Forward Surgical Element. He also served as a staff orthopedic surgeon and assistant department head at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville in 2008. After finishing a fellowship at Duke in spine surgery in 2010, he served as Department Head at the rank of Commander at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.

Today, Dr. Moore’s role with Spine and Orthopedic Specialists involves comprehensive nonsurgical care, as well as spine and orthopedic surgery, with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques, including endoscopy. He serves as a consultant for multiple spine-focused companies, and is a seasoned medicolegal consultant for orthopedic and spine injuries.

Dr. Moore received multiple commendations while serving in the military, including the Navy Commendation Medal (2013) for exceptional meritorious service. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the US Naval Academy and a medical degree from Duke University, he holds certifications from the Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center, the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and an ACCME-Accredited Pain Interventionalist Course.
